Bio
Jennifer Peterson holds a PhD in English and is an Assistant Teaching Professor at the University of ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Mississippi. She teaches a variety of writing courses including first-year composition, basic writing, technical writing, creative writing, and world literature. She has also served as an assistant writing program administrator and co-coordinator of USM's basic writing course.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Peterson is a creative writer. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Florida Review, Colorado Review, Radar, Beloit Poetry Journal, ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Humanities Review, and elsewhere. Her work has been nominated for inclusion in Best of the Net Anthology and is three times nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her current poetry manuscript has been named a semifinalist in the Helena Whitehill Book Award with Tupelo Press and the Lexi Rudnitsky First Book Prize with Persea Press. She is also the author of a chapbook, Must Resemble Leisure, published by Seven Kitchens Press.
